This book is a collaborative work by Dr. James Lock, professor of child psychiatry at Stanford University, and Dr. Daniel Le Grange, professor of child psychiatry and child health at the University of California, San Francisco. With over 50 years of combined experience in researching and treating eating disorders, both experts have come together to provide a comprehensive guide to treating adolescent eating disorders.
The family-based therapy (FBT) they pioneered is an evidence-based treatment, proven effective through extensive research and clinical trials. The book includes case studies and practical tips, making it an invaluable resource for therapists and parents alike, offering clear guidance on how to support adolescents struggling with eating disorders.
